The Tamil week celebration at our school reached its pinnacle with a grand Traditional Tamil food festival on 27th June 2025, showcasing the rich culinary heritage of Tamil Nadu. Students, under the guidance of their teachers and with invaluable support from their parents, took immense pride in showcasing their culinary skills and knowledge. Many stalls featured forgotten recipes passed down through generations, highlighting the importance of preserving our gastronomic heritage. Dishes like “Kambu Koozh” (pearl millet porridge), “Keerai Vadai” (spinach fritters), and a range of traditional sweets like “Adhirasam” and “Paniyaram” were particular favorites, offering a nostalgic taste for many and an exciting discovery for others.
We are incredibly proud of our students for their dedication and passion in making this festival a reality. This event was not just about food; it was about fostering a deeper appreciation for our heritage, promoting healthy eating habits, and strengthening the bonds within our school community. The sheer joy and learning visible on everyone’s faces were truly heartwarming.
