Wings of Freedom: Celebrating India’s 80th Independence Day
Akshardham Central School celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm on 15th August 2026 at the school campus.
The celebration was graced by our respected Principal, Dr. K. Pranavan, Primary In-charge, Mrs. Marry Charlotte, and Secondary In-charge, Mrs. V. Sridevi. The Guest of Honour, Mr. Thanesh Varun, Vice Chairman of Akshardham Central School, added special significance to the occasion with his gracious presence.
As part of the Independence Day celebrations, a series of competitions were conducted on 14th August 2026 to encourage students to express their creativity, confidence and patriotic spirit. The competitions included Fancy Dress, Role Play, Essay Writing, Poster Designing and Speech. The winners and participants were appreciated for their enthusiastic involvement, and prizes were distributed during the Independence Day celebration on 15th August.
The programme commenced with Thamizh Thai Vazhthu, followed by the Flag Hoisting Ceremony, symbolising the pride and unity of our nation. The gathering then took the National Pledge, followed by the melodious Flag Song.
