Celebrating the Magic of Numbers: National Mathematics Day 2025
On December 22, 2025, our school celebrated National Mathematics Day to honor the birth anniversary of the legendary Srinivasa Ramanujan. The event was a vibrant showcase of logic, creativity, and the “joy of numbers.”
Event Highlights
- Math Exhibition & Working Models: The center of attraction was the exhibition where students displayed innovative working models and experiments. From demonstrating the Pythagorean theorem through fluid motion to explaining complex geometric fractals, students acted as young mentors, explaining the practical applications of math to visitors.
- Brain Games: Rapid-fire Abacus demonstrations and high-speed Rubik’s Cube challenges showcased incredible mental agility.
- Creative Arts: In a unique blend of “Art-integrated Learning,” students performed a math-themed skit and a rhythmic dance based on geometric patterns.
- Math Quiz: A thrilling battle of wits that tested logical reasoning and quick thinking.
Honoring Excellence
The celebration concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony, recognizing the winners of various competitions. The event served as a powerful reminder of Ramanujan’s legacy: that with curiosity and persistence, mathematics becomes a tool for innovation rather than just a subject in a textbook.
“Mathematics is not about numbers, equations, or algorithms: it is about understanding.”
We congratulate all our young mathematicians for their brilliant displays and enthusiastic participation!
