Celebrating Wellness Through Yoga
Akshardham Central School celebrated International Yoga Day on 22 June 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and staff. The programme highlighted the importance of yoga in promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and a healthy lifestyle.
Students confidently performed a variety of yoga asanas, demonstrating flexibility, balance, and discipline. Their impressive performance reflected the benefits of regular yoga practice and inspired everyone present to adopt yoga as a part of their daily routine.
The celebration also featured informative speeches by students, who spoke about the significance of yoga in our lives. They explained how practising yoga every day helps improve concentration, reduces stress, enhances physical health, and brings positive changes to one’s overall well-being. Their confident delivery and meaningful messages made the programme both educational and inspiring.
The event was witnessed by our respected Principal, Dr. K. Pranavan, along with the Primary Incharges, Mrs. Mary Charlotte and Secondary Incharge Mrs. V.Sridevi, who appreciated the students for their dedication and excellent performance. The celebration concluded with a renewed commitment to embracing yoga as a way of life for a healthier and happier future.
